What we collect
We collect minimal data to operate the service:
- IP addresses — used only for rate limiting (3 summaries/day for free users). IP addresses are not stored permanently; they expire from our cache within 24 hours.
- Account data — email address and plan status, stored securely in our database (Supabase) to manage your subscription.
- Summary cache — AI-generated summaries are cached for 1 hour to improve performance. No personally identifiable information is included.
What we do NOT collect
- No email addresses beyond what you provide at signup
- No cookies or tracking pixels
- No browsing history
- No personal profiles
- No Reddit account data
Analytics
We use Vercel Analytics, which is privacy-first and cookie-free. It collects only aggregate page view counts, not individual user identifiers.
Third-party services
- Stripe — processes payments and manages Pro subscriptions. Subject to their privacy policy.
- OpenRouter — routes AI requests. Summaries do not include personal data.
- Reddit— we fetch public post data from Reddit's public API. We are not affiliated with Reddit Inc.
Your GDPR rights
If you are in the EU, you have the right to:
- Access any personal data we hold about you
- Request deletion of your data
- Object to processing
- Data portability
Since we store virtually no personal data, these requests are straightforward to fulfill. Contact us at privacy@reddigest.co for any privacy requests.
Changes
